Our Story

The Hall of Fame was launched in 2009 by Meetings + Incentive Travel Magazine and is now carried forward by CMEE, Canada’s largest tradeshow and conference for meeting and event professionals. Since its inception, over 85 industry leaders have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The mandate of the Hall of Fame is to recognize and celebrate individuals who have made a lasting impression and impact in the Canadian events and meeting industry. It is the sole independent awards program for event and meeting professionals and suppliers in the country.

In 2023, the Hall of Fame saw the implementation of updated categories, descriptions, and criteria to adjust to our everchanging industry, while continuing to honor those who are continuously making a difference. Nominations are put forth by industry peers or self-nominated, shortlisted, and graded on the category criteria by a select panel of past Hall of Fame winners.
