Never stop learning.
At CMEE, we understand that.

That’s why our education sessions and workshops are designed to provide insight, tips and applicable learning experiences for every level of planner and supplier, regardless of where you are in your career.

We enlist professional speakers and industry experts to bring you engaging, relevant content to help you deliver better events.

Canadian Meetings + Events Expo education is produced by the events team of Newcom Media Inc. We know what planners want.

Collect CE Credits

We tailor our in-depth education sessions to not only be relevant to your day-to-day job but also benefit your career. That’s why we pre-qualify our education sessions with the Events Industry Council (EIC) so that time spent at Canadian Meetings + Events Expo may also help you gain your certification or re-certification.

To qualify:

  • Register and attend any of our CMEE Education Workshops

  • Keep your registration receipt or name badge as proof of attendance

  • After the event, log on to your EIC online account or create one (https://myaccount.eventscouncil.org) and upload proof of attendance

  • Under the continuing education tab, enter in your hours and domain

All of our sessions have been approved with the Events Industry Council (formerly the Convention Industry Council) for (CE) credit for the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation. Once confirmed, the pre-check logo, domain and number of CE credits will appear with each session description.

Those who wish to obtain their CMP need 25 clock hours (which are the same as credits) in total.

Submitting Clock Hours

As an Events Industry Council preferred provider, CMEE offers you the option of having the event pre-loaded into the clock hours section of your online portal after you have attended. You must consent to us sharing your information with the Events Industry Council during the registration process in order for this to happen.

If you do not see Canadian Meetings + Events Expo pre-loaded when you log in, you are still able to self load your sessions into the portal. Two potential reasons for this occurring is that you have provided an email address to us that does not match the email you used to register with EIC, or you have not consented to us sharing your email with EIC (during registration).

For listings, session descriptions, and clock hour value, please see the Show Guide Archives.

Note: This program is not endorsed, accredited, or affiliated with the Events Industry Council or the CMP Program. Applicants may receive CE credit for attending any program that meets eligibility requirements of the CMP Program. There are no specific individual courses required as part of the applications selection of eligible education is up to the applicant based on his/her needs.
