Kathy Barthel, founder of Take on the World, is a brand messaging and video coach; speaker; and moderator/host. She helps business owners and entrepreneurs find and own what makes them distinct (and therefore competitive) and then create unique, irresistible, and consistent messaging in words and on video—for the clients who are a fit.
“Not everyone should be your client, so why turn yourself into a pretzel to please someone who isn’t a match?” she says. “Didn’t we learn that from dating? Be yourself and attract the clients who are a fit instead.” Kathy’s unique writing and video trainings incorporate improv, interviews, roleplay, and props in a variety of workshops, programs, and one-on-one coaching.
She is a former journalist, TV host, and TV producer with 25+ years of experience creating content for major Canadian media outlets including CTV, CBC, MSN, HGTV, Slice, and YTV; and has interviewed everyone from actors, authors, and international designers to British royalty.
Kathy is also known for the lively, substantive business panels she moderates for clients such as Meeting Planners International (MPI), Toronto Chapter; Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS) and others. She incorporates a journalist‘s research and interviewing talent; a performer’s ability to improvise and entertain; a professional speaker’s command of their audience; and a project manager’s time management skills to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience your audience won’t soon forget.
