The hotel inventory in Old Montreal will get a boost this summer with the opening of William Gray.
The 127-room property will be located on St-Vincent, just steps away from Place Jacques-Cartier and the Old Port. It will offer more than 10,000 square feet of event space; a 180-seat restaurant; a rooftop terrace; a luxury spa with an outdoor pool; a boutique; a cafe; and excellent views of iconic Montreal landmarks.
A new build, the eight-floor structure is comprised of a new glass tower sitting atop two historic buildings: Maison Edward-William-Gray and Maison Cherrier.
Its rooms and suites will feature local art, rich wood and floor-to-ceiling windows that allow for natural light. Other design details include light-coloured floors and walls, concrete ceilings, black metal light fixtures, white sheer curtains and espresso furniture.
The property is part of Le Groupe Antonopoulos portfolio. Over the past 30 years, brothers Tony and Costa Antonopoulos have built a group of restaurants and boutique hotels in Old Montreal, receiving worldwide recognition for exceptional contribution to regional tourism.
Renowned for offering hospitality, design and service, the group’s list of honors include placing on Condé Nast’s “Top 20 Hotels in Canada,” Condé Nast’s “Gold List,” Travel + Leisure’s 500 World’s Best Hotels,” “Prix Art-Affaires de Montréal” in 2012 in the PME category, and Fodor’s “100 Hotel Award Winners.”
