CALGARY — WestJet has launched non-stop flights from Halifax to Vancouver and also introduced service from Winnipeg to Halifax, it was announced this month. Both of these seasonal, direct flights have been timed to connect to WestJet’s Halifax and Vancouver hubs from its domestic network.

Until Sept. 3, flights depart Vancouver for Halifax four times weekly, leaving at 9 pm and arriving at 6:34 am (plus one day). Until Sept. 4, flights depart Halifax for Vancouver four times weekly, leaving at 7:25 am and arriving at 9:46 am.
Until Sept. 6, flights depart Winnipeg for Halifax four times weekly, leaving at 12:30 am and arriving at 6 am. Until Sept. 5, flights depart Halifax for Winnipeg four times weekly, leaving at 9:30 pm and arriving at 11:26 pm.
WestJet now offers 23 daily flights on 13 routes from Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Since 2005, the airline has accounted for almost 90 per cent of the capacity growth out of Halifax.
WestJet customers in Atlantic Canada have 34 non-stop routes and 24 WestJet destinations from which to choose. In the last 10 years, WestJet has tripled its capacity out of this region.
WestJet now offers 65 daily flights on 35 non-stop routes from Vancouver International Airport to 100 WestJet destinations.
By mid-summer, WestJet will offer 30 daily flights on 21 non-stop routes from Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport.
