The property’s guestrooms and suites, on-site restaurants, meeting spaces and lobby were all modernized and refreshed over the course of the reno, which took 12 months.
“We are very proud of The Westin Toronto Airport’s transformations,” said Dr. Steve Gupta, CEO, Easton’s Group of Hotels. “This impressive project provides our guests with amenities and offerings that will appeal to every aspect of their experience with us, from business to leisure and everything in-between.”
The redesigned lobby features a new marble floor, a “Westin Haven” community work table, and computers and printers for guest use, and a new vertical garden as well as comfortable seating areas.
The on-site restaurants also received make-overs. The Crosswinds Lounge & Bar serves up small sharing plates and artisanal cocktails in a relaxing space with versatile seating. The Atmosphere Restaurant is an airy space, with a luxurious modern look that echoes the lobby’s design. It offers a chef’s selection of SuperFoodsRx dishes.
The hotel’s 290 guestrooms and suites were given a complete refresh. One of the most notable changes (and a nod to allergy suffers) was the decision to put in wood floors instead of new carpeting. Special light fixtures with USB ports were also added to the rooms, which offer Westin’s signature services and amenities, including its famous Heavenly Bed® and Heavenly Bath® experience.
Finally, the hotel’s 20,000 square feet of customizable meeting space was updated with contemporary elements accented with earth tones and natural textures.
Located at Dixon Road and Airport Road, The Westin Toronto Airport is a five-minute drive from Toronto Pearson International Airport and the UP Express Train to downtown Toronto. A Mercedes shuttle runs between the hotel and airport 24 hours a day.
