TORONTO – The Westin Ottawa plans to debut a 3,000-square-foot rooftop ballroom in spring, it was announced Jan. 23.
To be located on the 22nd floor, the new function space, TwentyTwo, will feature 270-degree views of Parliament to the west and the Gatineau Hills to the north and east.
Amenities in the new space include a video wall display and sound system that can be customized for events, a dedicated suite adjacent to TwentyTwo for pre-event activities, and high-end china and designer chairs for all events. Rounding out the ballroom’s amenities is a dedicated bar offering the option of a customized beverage menu.
Overseeing the f&b program is the hotel’s executive chef, Kenton Leier, who will provide menu consultations and tastings during the booking process and can offer a specially created wine list and pairing suggestions.
The new ballroom augments the hotel’s 44,000 square feet of conference facilities.
