The Westin Orlando Universal Boulevard opened its new meeting and special event center last week. The new space adds 5,394 square feet (including pre-function space) to the AAA Four Diamond property.
Officially named The Lotus Ballroom, the new space can accommodate groups up to 300 for a banquet setting or meeting. Sitting adjacent to the hotel’s free form pool, the ballroom features floor-to-ceiling windows on one wall offering natural light and views of a true Florida landscape.
“We are excited to open the new Lotus Ballroom at the Westin Orlando Universal Boulevard. We now have the ability to host mid-sized group meeting up to 300 attendees and larger receptions to 500,” said general manager Mike Magnelli. “Our prime location across the street from the Orange County Convention Center and only 15 minutes to the Orlando International Airport provides planners with a place in Orlando to call home for many years.”
The Westin Orlando Universal Boulevard opened in 2008. It has 315 rooms, one and two-bedroom suites with balconies, fitness studio, business center and 13,506 square feet of meeting and function space.
