CALGARY – The Westin Calgary is offering guests the chance to begin their mornings with trainers from CrossFit Ramsay Calgary weekday mornings in the WestinWORKOUT area of the hotel, it was announced Aug. 15.
CrossFit Ramsay sessions are available for $20 per person and participants can sign up at the hotel’s front desk. Classes run starting at 6 am or 7 am from Tuesday through Thursday. CrossFit Ramsay is not a specialized fitness program, but an attempt to optimize physical competence in each of 10 recognized fitness domains: cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy.
This program builds on Westin’s global well-being movement, an initiative dedicated to encouraging guests and associates to discover new approaches to wellness through programs across the brand’s six pillars of well-being.
As well, guests at The Westin Calgary can stay fit with the help of The Westin Run Concierge. Guests are invited to meet in the lobby for a 5 km run through Princes Island Park guided by Run Concierge. The program is available Monday to Wednesday mornings at 7 am and Monday to Tuesday evenings at 5 pm.
For five years, Westin’s gear lending program in partnership with New Balance gives guests access to New Balance shoes and clothing during their stay.
