LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort has named a new director of sales and director of group sales as the property prepares to complete the final phase of a $140-million-dollar renovation, it was announced Jan. 23.

Aaron Weegar has been appointed director of sales and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day efforts of the resort’s sales team at the 2,267-room property.
Weegar returns to the resort, having previously served as the property’s account director for the Northeast market. Most recently, he was the director of sales at The Diplomat in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., where he led the property’s sales team through a successful brand transition. Weegar has more than 10 years of hospitality sales experience.
Nick Anderson has been promoted to director of group sales. In Anderson’s new role, he will oversee the resort’s sales managers and lead the team responsible for booking executive meetings.
Anderson joined the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin in May 2014 as group sales account director and in 2015 was promoted to associate director of sales. He previously served some of the world’s largest hotels at the managerial and director levels, including overseeing pre-opening operations and sales for several major convention hotels in Las Vegas.
