LAS VEGAS — W Hotels plans to open a hotel on the emerging North End of the Las Vegas Strip Dec. 1, it was announced Oct. 6.
Reservations are being accepted for the W Las Vegas, which will take over a 289-room tower of the SLS Las Vegas, transforming it into a hotel-within-a hotel concept.
W Las Vegas will feature a private entrance for guests and will offer signature W brand amenities, including social venues WET rooftop pool and The Living Room. The hotel will also feature a multi-million-dollar new-build tower by Gensler Architects, designed by AvroKO Hospitality Group, offering 15,000 square feet of meeting and event space and WET rooftop pool.
Guestrooms will range from 322 square feet for the Wonderful Room to the 2,382-square-foot EWOW Suite, complete with separate living room, oversized bath with mountain views.
The hotel will also offer the 24-hour FIT, Away spa, W’s Whatever/Whenever service, and the most meeting space of any W property yet.
Guests will have access to restaurants Bazaar Meat by José Andrés; Katsuya; Cleo; Umami Burger; 800 Degrees Neopolitan Pizza; Northside Café; Chinese Kitchen; and The Perq, as well as additional nightlife venues.
W Las Vegas will open in phases, with its soft opening of the hotel rooms on Dec. 1. The official grand opening will be in February 2017. It will also be the only major hotel opening on Las Vegas Boulevard in 2017.
