ARUBA — Two Aruba properties, the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino, and Divi Dutch Village Resort, recently completed renovations, it was announced Jan. 24.
Located in Palm Beach, the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino’s 18-month, multimillion-dollar renovation updated guestrooms and suites, restaurants, common areas and grounds. Each of the 357 guestrooms and suites has been refreshed in neutral and earth tones, and been outfitted with new furniture, bedding and original art inspired by historical images.
Pool decks feature cabanas with new trellises, daybeds and lounge furniture. Oversized cabanas, designed for functions, include a hospitality desk, TV and lounging areas.
Situated amid a tropical garden setting close to Eagle Beach, in Oranjestad, Aruba’s capital, Divi Dutch Village Resort, in late 2016, completed the first segment of a major two-phase renovation project, including an overhaul of 48 suites, an extensive update of the pool area that added underwater lights and music, and a new lobby building.
The newly renovated suites incorporate smart televisions, surround-sound systems, Bluetooth-enabled music streaming to the TV and clock radio, and USB charging outlets at each nightstand. A fibre network was installed to improve WiFi access. The interior design focuses on contemporary lines with accents inspired by the resort’s Caribbean surroundings. In-room artwork depicts local Aruba landmarks.
