DENPASAR, INDONESIA — Tribute Portfolio, Marriott International’s collection of independent hotels and resorts, has debuted in Bali, with the opening of Sthala, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali, it was announced last month.

“At the time of the brand’s inception, members expressed the desire for more access to independent hotels in locations like Bali, especially in indie neighborhoods such as Ubud,” said Brian Povinelli, global brand leader for Tribute Portfolio Hotels & Resorts.
Perched on a hilltop in Lodtunduh, Ubud, the property features 143 rooms and suites and offers ridge views of the Wos River valley.
Dining options include Naga Rooftop Bar & Lounge; all-day Sungai Restaurant serving Asian cuisine with Balinese touches, as well as Western dishes; and the Panorama Pool and Sundeck Lounge, which serves small dishes.
Onsite amenities and services include a fitness centre and spa, and yoga offered on a dedicated deck. On the meetings and events side, there are 4,300 square feet of space to accommodate groups.
Launched in April 2015, Tribute Portfolio is a collection of independent hotels that include boutique resorts and urban destination properties.
Tribute Portfolio recently announced continued growth within the United States, adding independent, upper-upscale hotels and resorts in Tampa, Fla.; Denver, Colo.; San Diego, Calif.; St. Louis, Mo., and Houston, Texas. The brand also recently announced a new property in Singapore.
