TORONTO — Toronto’s Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre has unveiled a multi-million-dollar renovation that has refreshed guestrooms and increased in-room entertainment options, it was announced last month.

Guestrooms sport new flat-screen TVs.
Guestrooms now feature 49-inch flat-screen TVs and suites offer 55-inch TVs. Most bathtubs have been replaced with walk-in showers and spa-like lighting. New furniture includes oversized chaise lounges that double as pullout beds. Starting this fall, the hotel will offer mobile keyless entry.
On the in-room entertainment side, the redesigned hotel offers GuestTek’s Managed Video Platform (MVP), which complies with Marriott’s GRE (Guestroom Entertainment) services. Through a partnership with Netflix in summer 2015, the property now provides access to Netflix and YouTube. In addition, Marriott Rewards members receive complimentary high-speed Internet.
Other hotel amenities include a newly renovated 24-hour fitness centre outfitted with new equipment and an indoor pool and located on the 18th floor providing views of downtown Toronto.
A Greatroom lobby offers snacks and beverages, including complimentary full breakfast buffet and evening hot/cold hors d’oeuvres.
Marriott’s Signature Bourbon Program highlights brands such as Maker’s Mark and Knob Creek, signature cocktails, pours and locally curated bourbon flights. Certified bartenders offer insight on the history, production and types of bourbon.
