WASHINGTON, D.C. — Streampoint Solutions announced today that it has launched its facial recognition check-in software, called FaceReg.
According to the creators, the new software will help reduce wait times on site and streamline the check-in process.
“The goal is to keep the workflow as simple as possible to provide a large audience adoption,” says Dharmesh Dayabhai, co-founder, at Streampoint Solutions. “The attendee has to simply upload their image during the registration process and/or during their badge verification process. This step is optional, as considerations have to be made for folks who do not wish to upload their images.”
Once the attendee approaches the desk, they are presented with options to scan their face. And with a simple click of a button, their face is recognized and their badge is printed.
The FaceReg solution is currently available with Streampoint’s registration platform, and for 2020, this will be offered at an introductory rate for clients who submit their RFP’s before March 2020.
The company debuted FaceReg at IAEE’s Expo! Expo! in Las Vegas, and attendees were able to experience the newly launched facial recognition check-in process on site.
Sam Louie, director of operations at Streampoint Solutions shares, “Aside from the known security and precision benefits of face recognition, the technology also allows for quick and seamless check-in experiences for attendees. No longer is it just a tool for security verification purposes, facial recognition has increasingly become mainstream, adopted in many social media platforms already. As a result, investing in this technology in the event space opens the doors to not only advancing the check-in process but also creates new opportunities to enhance audience engagement experiences.”
