BAL HARBOUR, FLA. — St. Regis Hotels & Resorts expects to complete a $35 million renovation at The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort by the end of 2016, it was announced Nov. 16.
The renovations will add a Greek-inspired restaurant, three four-bedroom suites and a reconfigured and expanded lobby lounge. These enhancements follow on the heels of the recent opening of BH Burger Bar, St. Regis Bar & Sushi Lounge, as well as the debut of the Caroline Room, a 1,800-square-foot private event space, on the conference level.
With Greek native and executive chef Anastasios Chasekioglou at the helm, Atlantikós restaurant was expected to open in November. The eatery will serve breakfast (buffet and a la carte), lunch and dinner seven days a week.
Three new Signature Suites, each with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, opened in June. Accommodating up to eight guests, each suite features two master bedrooms with en suite five-fixture marble bathrooms, walk-in closets and balconies, and two additional bedrooms with queen-sized beds. The main living room opens to a kitchen with a glass dining table that seats eight, and the second living room includes a pullout sofa bed. Each suite offers four 210-square-foot balconies with ocean views and butler service.
The first four-bedroom Signature Suite, called the Ocean Palace Suite, covers 2,950 square feet and is on the fourth floor. The other two four-bedroom Signature Suites, known as the Sky Palace Suites, are located on the 23rd floor and may be connected to form the eight-bedroom Grand Sky Palace Suite, which spans over 7,500 square feet and accommodates 18.
Designed with a contemporary glass house framework with natural light, the new lobby lounge will house La Gourmandise, serving pastries and savory small dishes throughout the day, in addition to tea, coffee and cocktails.
Led by Edison Mays, BH Burger Bar serves a Signature Burger, build-your-own-burgers, gourmet franks, fries, shakes and local craft beer. The reconfigured St. Regis Bar & Sushi Lounge offers an expanded outdoor terrace and contemporary furniture refresh, in addition to a live sushi station and new menu of traditional and contemporary Asian dishes.
