SPINCon 2016 will be held November 13-15, 2016, at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa. The announcement was made March 1st by SPIN (Senior Planners Industry Network) and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB).
“We had a great response to our conference RFP and we had a hard choice to make. Greater Fort Lauderdale is a long-time supporter of SPIN and we know they have some exciting things in store for us,” said Shawna Suckow, CMP, founder of SPIN.
GFLCVB representative Stacy Copeland said that they are thrilled to have selected to host this year’s conference. “We are looking forward to showcasing the best of our area to SPIN. We know that senior meeting professionals won’t be easy to impress—we hope to show them some hidden gems that they can use for their upcoming meetings.”

This year’s edition of the conference will continue theme from its last two years: Brain, Body & Being. It will offer three different tracks that focus on the whole meeting professional, understanding that senior planners want education that addresses their professional, personal and spiritual well-being.
“This is an exciting year for SPIN. Our #YearOfTheMember campaign has eliminated membership dues and registration fees for all events, including SPINCon 2016,” said Suckow. “We are looking forward to an exciting and record-breaking conference partnering with Greater Fort Lauderdale this year.”
SPIN is the world’s third largest association for planners, and the largest association for senior-level planners with at least 10 years experience. SPINCon is the annual conference for the association.
