Small Luxury Hotels of the World has added properties in Croatia, China, Indonesia and Spain to its roster of independent, boutique hotels.
The new additions to the SLH portfolio are:

Villa Orsula Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik, CROATIA: Just five minutes’ walk from Dubrovnik’s Old Town, the 13-room Villa Orsula Dubrovnik is housed in a white Art Deco villa that blends 1930s glamour with modern design. Rooms celebrate original features, such as the arched windows and balconies, with views looking out over the walls of Old Town or the forests of Lokrum Island, and steps lead down the terraced garden to a private bathing platform. Natural views are contrasted throughout with surrealist artwork by artists including Roberto Matta and Victor Vasarely.

Hotel Excelsior, Dubrovnik, CROATIA: The Hotel Excelsior is a Dubrovnik landmark that has welcomed kings, queens and Hollywood royalty. The 158-room hotel reopened in 2017 after a complete renovation combining the original 1913 villa with a sleek contemporary wing—The Tower. It offers a number of indoor and outdoor spaces, including a private beach, a waterside restaurant (Prora) and the Salin terrace. Its spa features Turkish and Roman baths, a Finnish sauna and freeform indoor pool.

The Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa, Bali, INDONESIA: Re-opened this month (April 2018), this 105-key resort takes up the lion’s share of Seminyak’s prized beach front. It offers ocean- and garden-facing villas and suites; the al fresco Mediterranean Sanje Restaurant & Lounge; all-day dining pavilion Santan serving authentic Balinese fare; and the Hemingway-inspired wine and whisky bar Klass & Brass. The resort also boasts the acclaimed Kahyangan Spa and an infinity pool sitting on the edge of the ocean. Its two-bedroom garden pool villas have two seven-metre private swimming pools—one for each bedroom.

Healthouse Las Dunas, Estepona, SPAIN: Located minutes from the marina at Puerto Banus, this 55-room, adult-only spa resort offers an array of wellness opportunities, including a complete detox. Its Healthouse Restaurant serves daily four-course menus featuring healthy, balanced dishes designed by two Michelin-star chef Andoni Luis Anduriz. Guests can also opt for tailored diet plans. It also features two spas: the Ekilum Spa offering everything from steam baths to ice showers, and the Naturhouse Health and Spa Centre, which features a sensation path, salt sauna and snow cave. A second restaurant offering al fresco dining on the Andalucian patio is slated to open this summer.

Hui Yue Boutique Hotel, Xuzhou, CHINA: This 23-room contemporary eco hotel is all about sustainable resources and renewable energy. It features five interconnected courtyards, and interior design combining local arts with modern architecture. Each room has a balcony. Amenities include a personal butler team; the Sabai Spa, which offers authentic Thai treatments; private VIP karaoka booths; and the Hui Yue Zuan restaurant, which features a menu focused on local delicacies and live entertainment.
