SITE Canada received the Chapter of the Year honour at the SITE Global Conference, which ran November 5-7, 2016 in Panama. It is the fourth Chapter of the Year win for Canada.

SITE Canada president John Crowe and immediate past-president Hayley Bishop accept the SITE Chapter of the Year Award from Kevin Hinton (far left), chief excellence officer, SITE, and Rajeev Kohli, SITE president (far right).
Through the Chapter of the Year and Chapter Excellence Awards, SITE (The Society for Incentive Travel Excellence) acknowledges the efforts and performance of local chapter leaders and members. The awards also recognize the importance of the SITE Chapter network to support growth and local initiatives that strengthen the incentive travel industry.
SITE Canada president John Crowe says that the win would not be possible without a roster of professional members and a dedicated board of directors. “As the first chapter in the entire SITE organization, SITE Canada continues to lead the way by organizing memorable events and creating outstanding educational content year after year,” he explained in a letter to the industry announcing the award. “Thank you to all the members, committees, and especially our Board of Directors, who have all contributed to this amazing achievement.”
SITE Canada got the nod for creating and putting into practice strategic initiatives to grow, strengthen, and provide added-value to their membership. Some of these initiatives have been adopted by SITE’s global chapter network. The chapter has demonstrated leadership within its network. It has an effective, customized membership retention campaign and holds 10 events a year that meet the education and networking needs of the community.
