During the Site Global Conference gala event, held December 9th in Orlando, Florida, Site Canada was honoured with the 2013 Site Chapter of the Year award.
It is the first time in Site Global’s 40-year history that the Chapter of the Year award has been made to the same chapter in consecutive years. It also marks an extended period for Site Canada being recognized for top awards in each of the last five years: Chapter of the Year three times (2009, 2012 and 2013), and Excellence in Membership, twice in 2010 and 2011.
For 2013, Site Canada was presented with the Chapter of the Year award in recognition of its continued growth, program development, education programs and persistent commitment to Site’s brand pillars and mission. This year, the chapter hosted six educational events, including its sold-out annual Education Day, and experienced a record increase in membership.
Chapter leadership established an aggressive strategic plan that aligns with the Site brand pillars of global connections, motivational experiences and business results, and established a value proposition of “Connect, Grow, Lead.” To deliver on that, the chapter launched the “Gain InSite” loyalty initiative, which encourages Site members to turn first to other Site members for their purchasing needs and referrals. “Think Site, Buy Site, Gain InSite” is this chapter’s call to action, designed to build a stronger Site community and provide measurable ROI for Site members.
Speaking from Orlando, site Canada 2013 president Pam Graham, DMCP, senior advisor, MCI Canada, thanked the entire Site Canada team for their hard work and commitment. “Building on the strength of the 2012 Board, under the leadership of Joanne Keating, we gave ourselves an almost impossible goal of winning Chapter of the Year two years in a row,” said Graham. “We stayed focused on creating and delivering incentive quality experiences in everything we did. My sincerest thanks go to the current Board, our members, our previous leadership teams, our strategic partners and sponsors, and the support from Fletcher Wright Associates. They have all contributed to our success. This extraordinary achievement took a whole village to focused on both small and big tasks alike, in order to build up to this ultimate recognition. Throughout the Site Global Conference, many participants recognized Site Canada as a beacon for other chapters. It is an honour that we all share.”
