HONG KONG — The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company L.L.C. has signed a management agreement with NDG Asia Pacific (NZ) Limited to open a property in Auckland, New Zealand, in 2019, marking Ritz-Carlton’s debut in that country, it was announced last month.
Located downtown, adjacent to Sky City, The Ritz-Carlton, Auckland will offer 360-degree views of Auckland’s twin harbours.
In addition, the property will offer terraces adjacent to a lounge, as well as a street-level café and two fine-dining restaurants serving menus based on locally sourced products. Among the 300 rooms and suites will be the Presidential and Ritz-Carlton Suites. For events, the property will feature two ballrooms.
“We have long desired to bring The Ritz-Carlton to New Zealand and we’ve patiently waited for the right partner and opportunity that will create a showcase worthy of this world-class city,” said Hervé Humler, president and chief operating officer, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.
