CALGARY — Residence Inn by Marriott has opened in downtown Calgary, the largest property in the brand’s portfolio.
The 33-storey, 390-suite Residence Inn Calgary Downtown/Beltline District features design elements, including floor-to-ceiling murals and cowboy boot stitching incorporated into all guestroom bed headboards, which pay homage to Calgary’s western history.
Studio and one-bedroom suites offer dedicated living and sleeping areas as well as fully equipped kitchens. Additional amenities including free Wi-Fi in public and guests spaces, complimentary grocery delivery service and daily hot breakfast, 24-hour market, a common laundry room, 24-hour, bi-level fitness facility and valet parking.
Full-service dining is available at the property’s Lounge and Terrace, which dishes up light meals and regionally themed cocktails, West Coast wines and local beer selections. In time for summer, the property will unveil a wine bar in the lobby.
To accommodate corporate groups, the property features close to 6,500 square feet of naturally lit flexible meeting space, outfitted with multimedia technology, which can host up to 175 people.
Close to Calgary’s downtown centre, the property provides easy access to major attractions such as the Scotiabank Saddledome, Calgary Tower and Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre.
