Renaissance Montreal is on schedule to open its doors on January 18, 2016.
The property, which is managed by Urgo Hotels Canada, is housed in the former Canada Post building at the corner of Cathcart Street and Robert-Bourassa Boulevard in the heart of downtown Montreal. The space has been transformed by Montreal architectural firm Groupe Daca to reflect the vibrancy of the city and appeal to all five senses.
“Whether on the hunt for the city’s best products or creating art within the chaos of construction, the designers were inpsired by the charms of the hotel and its unique Montreal location,” said Alexandre Tessier, director of sales and marketing.
The 142-room property offers:
♦ 1,800 square feet of meeting space spread over three rooms
♦ guestrooms ranging from a 400-square-foot king to an 800-square-foot penthouse with private outdoor terrace and Jacuzzi
♦ a 12th floor rooftop terrace (the only one in downtown Montreal) complete with lounge, full bar, bistro kitchen and stainless steel plunge pool
♦ lobby-level restaurant, East, serving modern Pan-Asian cuisine
♦ fitness centre
The property is also distinguished by its art and design. Its exterior combines an art deco and mirrored glass design. As a counterpoint, its lobby is a mix of street art and sophisticated, modern furnishings. Its decor combines marble, walnut wood and other rich materials with unique art pieces, including original works by Cult Nation, a Montreal incubator for emerging musicians.
