Parq Vancouver, British Columbia’s newest entertainment destination, will open this fall with a curated collection of eight restaurant and lounges.
The food and beverage portfolio, conceived by James Beard Award-nominated restaurateurs Elizabeth Blau and Canadian chef Kim Canteenwalla of Blau + Associates, was crafted after the duo spent the last five years meeting with local farmers and growers. The menus’ notable Asian influences are drawn from the couple’s extensive travels overseas, including the time Canteenwalla spent living and working in Southeast Asia, and will incorporate Asian flavours with Pacific Northwest ingredients.
“British Columbia’s natural resources are amazing–the ocean and forests are rife with ingredients to work with, and the temperate climate means everything is fresh and flavourful,” Blau says. “Vancouver is known globally as an amazing food city, and during my time here I’ve come to understand why.”
“This region is so multicultural–there are influences ranging from Chinese to Japanese to Indian and beyond,” Canteenwalla added, “Perhaps because multicultural cuisine is so accessible, diners here are incredibly adventurous. There is truly something for everyone here.”

Located on the third floor (high limit gaming floor), 1886 features a live saltwater seafood tank stocked with local and international varieties of white fish and shellfish.
