LONDON — Park Plaza Nuremberg, featuring a design by Scott Brownrigg Interior Designs, has opened, it was announced Oct. 4.
Located opposite the 19th century central railway station in the former home of the Bavarian-American Hotel, the 177-bed hotel features a design influenced by the city’s cultural and medieval history.
All bedrooms feature Park Plaza beds, a modern design highlighted by integrated screen TVs, large work desks, in-room entertainment systems and mood lighting. The hotel also features a 24-hour fitness centre and seven meeting rooms outfitted with video conferencing and on-site dining facilities and accommodating up to 70 delegates. On the food and beverage side, there’s BA Beef Club, and Bavarian American Bar.
Highlighting the hotel’s look is a design — metallic tones of pink, gold and copper, combined with geometric shapes, light features, ceilings, furniture, artwork and sculptures — that respects the history of the 1930s building.
