Panama is in the destination news. Copa Airlines has launched four non-stop flights with weekly service between Montreal and Panama City, and New York-based Marketing Challenges Intl. (MCIntl) has been appointed the official North American marketing and sales office for the country’s growing meetings and conventions business.
“We are very excited to be working with the dynamic and beautiful country,” says Michel Couturier, president of MCIntl. “Panama is the gateway and financial center to Latin America, with great connectivity, easy access and brand new facilities. It is a very important destination for the North America market. Panama is the perfect hub for North American corporations and associations reaching out to markets in Central and South America.”
Copa is Latin America’s leading airline. Its only other Canadian destination is Toronto. The new Montreal to Panama City service will run Tuesdays, Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays. The route will provide business and leisure travelers in Quebec with an efficient way to travel to Panama and connect to other Latin and South American destinations.
