MPI Foundation Canada’s Canadian Economic Impact Study 3.0 (CEIS 3.0) survey is now in the field.
The survey is part of a year-long study measuring the impact of meetings activity on Canada’s economy. It is a continuation of the reporting published in the Canadian Economic Impact Study released in 2008 and updated in 2009.
According to Rita Plaskett, project chairman, the goal of CEIS 3.0 is to quantify the value delivered by the business events industry on a national and provincial level, “in an effort to have the meeting sector recognized as a distinct and credible economic activity within the Canadian economy.”
In addition to the survey, the five-phase study will include research and economic modeling. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2014.
