DALLAS — Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has added new program elements, including a CMP master class and Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate (HMCC) course, to the schedule for Smart Monday (Oct. 17) at IMEX America, which runs Oct. 18 to 20.
The interactive CMP master class session covers industry best practices as outlined in the CMP International Standards (CMP-IS) and will help participants prepare for the exam and apply key lessons on the job. Additional registration and fees are required.
Running four hours, the MPI Academy HMCC course provides healthcare meeting compliance stakeholders with the knowledge and experience needed to successfully navigate the increasingly complex pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device regulatory environment. Additional registration and fees are required.
Also being added to Smart Monday are Brainstorm discussions, Paws for a Break (puppy cuddling) and a station taking professional headshots.
Throughout the day, four discussions will be held in the Brainstorm area on the following topics: food and beverage trends, women in leadership, and mentorships and cool technologies. Facilitating each session will be Karin Krogh, president of the MPI Denmark Chapter and certified process consultant, facilitator and Meetovator.
Paws for a Break will see MPI partner with Love Dog Adventures, an animal-assisted therapy program based in Las Vegas, to bring several dogs that attendees can spend time with or admire from a distance. Also known as Puppy Cuddling, these visiting sessions are sponsored by Visit Norfolk, a longtime supporter of the program.
For the headshot station, MPI has engaged Orange Photography, the official photographers of the last five World Education Congress events, to take complimentary professional headshots of show attendees. This offering will also be available during IMEX America show days, October 18 to 20.
