Michael Mullin has joined the VoX International team as a part-time account executive in Western Canada. He will focus primarily on the Tourism Australia account.
Prior to joining VoX, Mullin was director of sales and marketing for Boomerang and Exotik Tours, part of the Travelbrands Canada group. He has also worked as the business development manager at Goway Travel, and sales executive for Air Canada in his homeland, New Zealand.
Mullin has more than 25 years experience selling and marketing the South Pacific, which will serve him well in marketing Australia to the Western Canadian travel trade. Based in Vancouver, he will work alongside Lea-Ann Goltz, who is also based in Vancouver, and Paul Larcher, who works out of the company’s Toronto headquarters.
“We are thrilled to have Michael join our growing team at VoX. His past experience will be a key selling tool for Australia,” said Susan Webb, president, VoX International.
Webb explains that Western Canada continues to be a huge growing market for Australia and airlift has increased significantly. Currently, Air Canada flies non-stop from Vancouver to Sydney; Air Zealand offers service to eight popular Australian destinations via Auckland; and Quantas plus has seasonal service from Vancouver to Sydney. In June, Air Canada will begin daily non-stop flights to Brisbane. “Getting to Australia has never been easier,” adds Webb.
