PALMA DE MALLORCA, SPAIN — Meliá Hotels International announced on Nov. 3 that it will transform Meliá Cabo Real into Paradisus Los Cabos, part of a $35 million USD renovation to convert and upgrade the existing property.

Set to open Dec. 23, this property will be the ninth Paradisus resort and the fourth in Mexico, and will feature 350 guestrooms, including 98 Royal Service Suites with butler service, 30 Family Concierge Suites and 28 ocean view swim-up suites.
Located 25 minutes from San Jose del Cabo International Airport, Paradisus Los Cabos will be set on 14.5 acres surrounded by Cabo Real private golf course and mountains. Amenities will include four swimming pools, three bars and six restaurants.
Guests at Royal Service suites will have their own private check-in/out lounge with views of the Sea of Cortez and access to daily continental breakfast buffet, snacks, coffee and premium beverages throughout the day as well as access to international newspapers. In Royal Service tradition, guests have access to their own certified butler, who they can contact all-day with cell phones provided at check-in.
Restaurant options include Naos Fresh Market (international buffet), Bana (contemporary Asian), Market Grill (Italian-Argentinian), Mole (modern Mexican), and La Palapa (exclusive poolside Royal Service grill). Additionally, for an added cost, guests can dine at Passion by Martin Berasategui, choosing from either an à la carte or tasting menu. Onsite bars and lounges include Avenue Bar, Wet Bar Swim-up Pool Bar and GABi, a two-storey beach club with a rooftop terrace overlooking the ocean.
Set to open in spring 2017, the property’s convention centre features a ballroom with auditorium-style capacity for up to 1,100 people and 10 breakout rooms. There are also a variety of open event areas on property, such as gardens, pools and a beach area accommodating up to 3,000 people.
Rounding out the offerings are a wine cellar, 24-hour room service, and WiFi access in all guestrooms and public areas. Additionally, there will be Paradisus Resorts’ signature YHI Spa providing treatments, relaxation areas, wet areas/ludic pool and fitness centre.
