TORONTO — With over 40 years combined experience in the event management industry, Shannon Byck, CMP and David Drover, of Meeting Encore Ltd., have launched Intuitive Conferences + Events (IntuitiveCE), a full-service meeting, conference and incentive travel planning company, it was announced July 13.
“With the skill set on the Meeting Encore team, it was a natural progression to create a company that is able to provide full-service meeting planning to meet client needs,” said Drover, Meeting Encore’s director of operations.
Jenn Glynn, managing partner at Meeting Encore, will serve as IntuitiveCE’s vice-president, client engagement, supporting Drover and Byck through sales, marketing and customer support.
Byck has been in the business events industry for more than 15 years. Her extensive meeting management experience includes manager of conferences and events for Canada Health Infoway, program manager for Ontario Hospital Association, conference manager for Canadian Society of Club Managers and conference manager for Parr + Associates, an association management firm.
She is a member of PCMA and volunteered at the committee level with MPI Toronto Chapter.
Drover has spent 30 years in the hospitality industry, the last four as director of operations at Meeting Encore. He also worked on the team that managed the logistics for RIM’s (Research In Motion) global conferences. Prior to that, he worked for more than a decade planning events a year for Sea World Parks and Entertainment in Orlando, Fla.
Glynn has 25 years industry experience, including sales roles across Canada with Delta, Pan Pacific, Kimpton, Starwood and Marriott. She sits on the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) International Board of Directors, and has also volunteered with FICP, MPI and many charitable organizations.
Meeting Encore Ltd. is Canada’s first sourcing company, providing hotel consulting, site location services and contracting for their clients. This year they are celebrating their 26th year in business.
