LONDON — London Marriott Hotel County Hall has re-opened following the completion of a multi-million pound transformation, it was announced Nov. 3.

Guestroom, London Marriott Hotel County Hall.
Located at the foot of Westminster Bridge, the 206-room hotel features redesigned interiors that combine contemporary hotel design and improved functionality. All suites include upgraded bathroom facilities, entrances with tiled mosaic flooring and bespoke wallpaper featuring a historic map of London from the era of the building’s infancy. Soft furnishings and plays on iconic London landmarks are featured throughout, including tasteful tributes to the building’s history – for example, orange chairs pay homage to the seating used in the chamber of the former London County Council, and bowler hat prints on curtain fabrics echo London’s business culture.
Onsite facilities include a health club with a 25-metre pool, fine British dining at Gillray’s Steakhouse & Bar, the Noes Lobby Champagne bar, the Leader’s Bar & outside terrace, and afternoon tea in the Library Lounge. For business and Marriott Rewards members there is also a new executive lounge with riverside views and complimentary amenities. The hotel also offers 10 event and meeting rooms.
Set on London’s South Bank, County Hall offers guests an unparalleled panoramic view of London that takes in the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, the River Thames and the London Eye.
In September, Marriott Hotels announced its partnership with TED to bring curated TED Talks to guests worldwide. As part of its celebrations, London Marriott Hotel County Hall recently hosted one of the five global TED Fellows salons series. TED Fellows Cosmin Mihaiu and Lucy McRae engaged guests with thought-provoking and inspirational insight under the theme of entrepreneurship.
