LONDON — Marriott has opened a property in Rotterdam, Holland, it was announced Aug. 3.
Formerly known as The Manhatten Hotel Rotterdam, and located in the Millennium Tower opposite Rotterdam Central Station, Rotterdam Marriott Hotel has undergone extensive renovations. As a result, the property now features 230 refurbished guestrooms and suites. Amenities include a lobby reconfigured into a social hub. Pillars Bar & Restaurant offers all-day dining, with a menu showcasing small snacks, sharing dishes and multicourse meals.
The property offers 24-hour room service, valet parking and free high-speed Internet. The fully equipped fitness centre offers a selection of high-tech equipment. Also available for guests are an executive lounge, business centre and nearly 6,456 square feet of flexible space for meetings and events. In addition, the hotel can coordinate with De Doelen International Congress Centre, which can accommodate groups of up to 3,000.
The hotel’s neighbourhood and commercial heart of the city, the Rotterdam Central District has undergone significant change in recent years with the arrival of international companies and extensive rejuvenation.
Marriott hotels offer a number of tech-based guest services such as mobile check-in, checkout, room ready alerts and mobile requests. In addition to these amenities, Marriott Hotels is piloting keyless entry with mobile devices at select properties.
