Marriott International’s Luxury Collection brand has signed Iraph Sui, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Okinawa, Japan.
Owned by The Mori Trust Group and slated to open in late 2018, the new island resort will be located in the city of Miyakojima, in Okinawa Prefecture. It will be the third Luxury Collection hotel in Japan.

The resort will be located on an elevated headland on the southwest coast of Irabu, a small island in the Miyako Island group, where all 57 rooms will enjoy sea views. It will include:
- nine suites with private plunge pools;
- 20 luxurious junior suites;
- one executive suite;
- a 72-foot outdoor swimming pool;
- state-of-the-art fitness centre and spa;
- all-day restaurant;
- pool bar; and
- beach club.
The Miyako Islands offer white sand beaches and crystal-clear water. They are renowned scuba diving destinations, and boast spectacular underwater rock formations resulting from volcanic activity, colossal Ryūkyū limestone arches, underwater caves and grottoes, and abundant coral and sea life.
The islands are approximately 250 miles east of Taipei. The Miyako airport has direct flight connections to Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.
