Tourism London and the London Convention Centre have opened an office in Ottawa and appointed Marc Forgette to the position of business development manager based in the nation’s capital.
Forgette will support Tourism London’s director of conventions, Lynne Gale, CMM, in the development and implementation of the present and future convention marketing plans of both Tourism London and the London Convention Centre. The primary focus will be to cultivate qualified sales leads and deliver bid presentations to entice city-wide conventions and multi-day business events to London.
Forgette is a seasoned and respected industry expert, His primary focus will be to leverage a large professional network of key convention and meeting decision-makers to give serious consideration to hosting their events in London. It is anticipated that London’s visible presence in Ottawa will strengthen London’s reputation as a convention destination. It should also help stimulate revenue growth as well.
Forgette is a member of Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) Ottawa-Gatineau chapter and the Ottawa chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI).
