FMAV was named AV Production Company of the Year at the 2017 Live Music Industry Awards, presented by El Mocambo. Held during Canadian Music Week, the awards celebrate the best of Canada’s live music business sector.
“It’s truly an honour to share the stage with some of the best and brightest in the Canadian music scene,” says Dave Corkum, general manager, Halifax, FMAV who received the award from host, Paul Shaffer. “We were up against some very stiff competition and feel very proud that we were called to the stage.”
FMAV maintains a long standing track record in the live music scene supporting venues, events and festivals across the country including the award-winning TD Halifax Jazz Festival, Celtic Colours and the David Foster Foundation Gala.
In addition to an already robust array of audiovisual and staging equipment, FMAV recently expanded their outdoor staging capabilities to include the addition of a Stageline SL320 to their inventory.
The 2017 Live Music Industry Awards were held April 19, 2017 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. The Awards are created by Canadian Music Week in partnership with the International Festival Network (IFN) and Music Canada Live, the trade association for the live music sector.
