For the third year in a row, JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa has earned a spot on Condé Nast Traveler’s list of Canada’s best resorts . More than 128,000 travelers took part in the magazine’s 28th annual Readers’ Choice Awards.
Located just two and a half hours from Toronto, the year-round luxury property took the seventh spot on the list and is the only resort east of Alberta to be included in the top 10. General manager Tony Tamburro attributes its success to a strong focus on crafting the guest experience. “Our main priority is intuitive service,” he explains. “The team’s goal is to surprise and delight, by anticipating what will enrich the experience of each guest.”
Designed by internationally-renowned architect Frank Nicholson, the resort has spectacular view of Lake Rosseau, one of the premier lakes in Canada’s “Cottage Country.” Notable features include diverse indoor and outdoor event spaces and common areas; a year-round indoor-outdoor pool; Spa Rosseau; and a range of on-site activities such as guided art tours, water sports, interpretive nature walks, dog sledding and snowmobiling.
The property also has six on-site restaurants: Muskoka Chophouse (its newest); Teca (Italian cuisine and a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence wine list); Cottages (restaurant and patio); Lakes (lobby bar); The Deck (lakeside bistro); and Country Market.
