MONTRÉAL — The InterContinental Montréal has opened a ballroom in the Nordheimer Conference Center, it was announced Jan. 26.

InterCon Montreal’s new ballroom seats 300.
Covering 3,365 square feet and featuring 17-ft ceilings and plenty of natural light, the ballroom seats 300 and accommodates 400, cocktail-style. It is outfitted with up-to-date technological, audiovisual, sound and lighting equipment and also features a pre-function space.
Referencing the cultural and commercial past of its neo-Victorian building, the A. & S. Nordheimer ballroom’s decor follows a piano theme reflected in a black and white palette, with contemporary accents.
In addition, the InterCon is now showcasing the history of the Nordheimer Conference Center, which now houses all the banquet rooms. At the heart of the theme is legends built on the site’s history. Each room represents a different character, either historical or fictional, and each presents its own story, and carries its name. In line with this concept, each floor has its own theme.
