The International Public Television Conference (INPUT) is returning to Calgary, reports Meetings + Conventions Calgary.
The conference will run May 8-12, 2016 and is expected to draw more than 700 producers, directors, writers and content creators from around the world. It was last held in Calgary 16 years ago.
INPUT is an affordable and unique international public television screening event that has been held in cities around the world since 1977. A global meeting point for producers, directors, writers and creators that come together and discuss the most innovative content being shown by public broadcasters around the world. It offers access to documentaries, dramas, webisodes and programming not seen anywhere else.
The city’s film and television industry, which has an annual production of $120 million, will set the stage for the event. Albertans on the INPUT 2016 board, which is working with the local organizing committee, are: Joe Novak (chair), Bow River Productions; Luke Azevedo, Calgary Economic Development; Tom Cox, Calgary ‘Industry’/Canada Media Production Association; Stephen Schroeder, Calgary International Film Festival; Bill Evans, Alberta Media Production Industries’ Association; and Tyler Shandro, Shandro & Associates.
ABOUT MEETINGS + CONVENTIONS CALGARY
A partner of INPUT Calgary 2016, Meetings + Conventions Calgary is a partnership between the Calgary Hotel Association and the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre. It operates as a sales and marketing organization with a mandate to assist meeting planners, corporate clients and association executives interested in Calgary as a prime location for their meetings, conventions and incentive programs.
