CHICAGO — Hyatt Hotels & Resorts plans to open Hyatt Centric La Rosière, the first Hyatt Centric hotel in France and Hyatt’s first ski resort in the region, it was announced Jan. 18. The 71-room hotel is expected to open by the 2017-18 winter season.

To be located in the heart of the skiing destination in the Tarentaise Valley, the resort features 160 km of ski runs, as well as heli-skiing. The hotel will operate seasonally, opening from December to April and again from June to September.
Among the resort’s amenities are dining options that include H40 Bistro Bar and all-day restaurant La Tavola.
Both food and beverage outlets will offer views of the mountains from the bottom of the slope, while selected rooms will feature bathrooms offering panoramic views of the valley.
The new addition will join 13 other Hyatt Centric hotels across the globe. Launched in 2015, the Hyatt Centric brand includes hotels in Chicago, Houston, New York City, New Orleans, Waikiki, Hawaii, Arlington, Va., Park City, Utah, Miami and Key West, Fla., Long Beach, Santa Barbara and San Francisco, Calif. and Montevideo, Uruguay. More hotels, including properties planned for Barbados and Ginza Tokyo, are in the pipeline.
Created for millennial-minded travelers, Hyatt Centric hotels are designed to enable exploration and discovery. The lobby lounge is a resource providing guests with information about the most sought after food, nightlife and activities the destination has to offer, sourced from a community of “in the know” local experts. Guestrooms feature amenities including environmentally conscious bath products, Bluetooth-enabled electronics and salon-grade blowdryers.
