Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, the first Hyatt-branded all-inclusive to offer meeting and convention groups an all-inclusive experience, opened last week.
The resort, which is owned and managed by Playa Hotels & Resorts B.V., is the first property to open under the new Hyatt Ziva brand. The next resort in the portfolio, Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall in Jamaica, is undergoing an extensive renovation and will open in late 2014.
Located on Mexico’s Baja Peninsula, the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos has 619 suites, including 436 junior suites, 97 suites, 34 swim-up suites, 35 premium deluxe suites, 16 premium two-room suites and one presidential suite.
The largest resort meeting and event venue in the area, it has more than 35,000 square feet of meeting and event space and can comfortably accommodate up to 1,000 guests. Its 11,624-sq.-ft. Grand Theater has a capacity of 526 and its Gran Peninsula Ballroom can be divided into five breakout rooms. In addition, it has outdoor lawn, garden and beach venues with views of the Sea of Cortes. The resort also offers high-speed wireless Internet access, a full array of audiovisual equipment and expert meeting concierges. It is a five minute drive from the Los Cabos International Convention Center.
On the f&b side, Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos has eight restaurants and six bars and lounges. A la carte dining options include El Cortijo (Spanish cuisine), Lotus (Japanese); Bon Vivant (classical French); Capri (Italian); Coral Restaurant (an outdoor bistro); and La Hacienda (classic steakhouse). Two international gourmet buffet restaurants with show cooking stations are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
