Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and the restrictions and challenges its created to the meetings and events industry, Meetings Mean Business Canada announced today that its Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) will be going virtual this year.
Scheduled for April 14, 2020, you can join Meetings Mean Business Canada as it hosts GMID as an online virtual event starting at 12 p.m. EST, 9 a.m. PST, and 1 p.m. AST.
The event will be webcast and is free and open to all in the industry. Meetings Mean Business Canada is hoping to break the record for the Largest Virtual Event by inviting the entire industry to join in.
Meetings Mean Business Canada added the following statement regarding the agenda for the day: “The situation surrounding COVID-19 and its impact on our communities, work and families is constantly evolving and we expect our agenda for the webcast to evolve as well.”
The webcast is set to include a panel, including those from government, Business Events Canada, hotels, convention centres, and the planning community to discuss the meetings & events industry from their perspectives during this time.
