Craig Reaume has been named general manager at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport, while Alain Gobeil has been appointed executive chef at Fairmont Chateau Laurier.
Reaume began his hospitality career nearly 20 years ago working through several progressive positions that included reservations manager and front desk manager. In 2008, he joined Fairmont in his most recent role as hotel manager at the Fairmont Royal York.
Gobeil has travelled the globe, perfecting his trade, gaining both restaurant and hotel experience along the way. He takes on his new role from his most recent position as executive sous-chef at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Abu Dhabi, where he was part of the hotel’s opening team.
In other news, Christophe Piffaretti takes on the role of vice-president, development, Europe, for the brand’s parent, Fairmont Raffles Hotels International. Starting his career in operations, Piffaretti has spent most of his career in hotel real estate and development, gaining a broad expertise while working with major luxury hotel players around the world.
