TORONTO — The Catalyst Global network marked the world’s first 24-hour continuous corporate team-building treasure hunt on Dec. 12, it was announced on Dec. 20.
Eventology and its Catalyst Global partners collaborated to give back to the community through their Corporate Social Responsibility event, Go Give.
Based on the Go Team event, Go Give was developed by Catalyst Global to provide a team-building solution that could also maximize the impact of giving through giving together. The event kicked off at 6 a.m. on Dec. 12 in Auckland, New Zealand and concluded 24 hours later in Mount Manganui, New Zealand.
Following the sunrise around the world, 52 teams across 40 countries greeted the morning with a treasure hunt that had them race against the clock and each other to complete as many checkpoint challenges as possible. These checkpoint activities included photo challenges, questions, video challenges and more.
Each challenge was tied to certain B1G1 projects, enabling teams to select the project they wanted to donate to upon completion of each activity.
“The Eventology team had such a great time participating in this unique event and raised 693 impacts in the process,” said Alexandra Pett, Eventology’s CEO. “The event itself not only strengthened our own team, but brought us closer to our Catalyst Partners as well. It’s such a great feeling to be a part of this energetic and inspiring global network of team building experts, and to give back to our communities in the process!”
Overall, the event raised 19,641 impacts to support various initiatives across countries such as Thailand, Bangladesh, Malaysia, India, Moldova, Nepal, Malawi, Kenya and Peru that work to provide nutrition, medication and education to at-risk groups, plant trees, provide sewing machines to women, chickens to families and irrigation systems to villages, among other causes.
Eventology provides event-based solutions to corporate groups across Canada and has exclusive rights to deliver Catalyst Global team-building products in Canada.
B1G1 is a global business giving initiative that enables its members to pass 100 per cent of contributions to its partner non-profit organizations (NGOs).
