Doubletree by Hilton™ West Edmonton has been recognized with four global awards. The awards include Employer of Choice, for the second consecutive year; Leader of the Year, recognizing general manager Grant McCurdy; the CARE Cup, which recognizes hotels that “Create A Rewarding Experience” (CARE) for guests, fellow team members and for the communities in which they serve; and Hilton’s highest global recognition, the Connie Award, acknowledging the top Hilton Worldwide hotel for exceptional product and outstanding service.

This is the second year Doubletree by Hilton™ West Edmonton has received the Employer of Choice designation from Alberta Hotel and Lodging Association. The designation requires an intense audit of the hotel’s strategy and practice and a comprehensive employee opinion survey.
The Connie Award is the highest hotel honour across all Hilton Worldwide brands, awarded to a few properties based on their exemplary performance. The Doubletree by Hilton™ West Edmonton beat out more than 400 competitors to win the CARE Cup. Awarded semi-annually, CARE recognizes the “best of the best” DoubleTree by Hilton™ hotels for bringing to life the brand’s globally-recognized CARE program.
Driving the hotel’s performance, McCurdy was also honoured with Hilton’s Leader of the Year Award, presented to the general manager, hotel manager or resident manager that best represents the DoubleTree by Hilton Brand Promise in their hotel, with their management company and in the community.
