Destination Québec cité (DQc) in partnership with the Association hôtelière de la région de Québec (AHRQ), has published and distributed the first edition of Québec cité Magazine.
According to the official press release, it will be the only magazine found in 14,000 hotel rooms in the Québec City region, and in high-traffic tourist destinations.

The new publication is a free, bilingual reference meant to “charm visitors” to the destination through meaningful content. This first edition is said to celebrate the winter scenery and help travellers navigate the cold temperatures the same way the locals do.
“Destination Québec cité has been working for several months now to answer a need expressed by visitors once they arrive and improve their experience at the destination by giving them tools and support as they dive into a rich and multifaceted culture,” said Robert Mercure, General Manager, Destination Québec cité. “People might question why we chose a paper magazine, which is, of course, made from 100% recycled Québec paper. My answer is that even if we are driven by opportunities to seduce people remotely via digital channels, we like the idea of giving visitors an opportunity to put their phones away once they’ve arrived at their destination. They can take time to leaf through the Québec cité Magazine while comfortably lounging in their room. Some might even take it home as a souvenir.”
The next edition of the magazine is said to celebrate the lively summer in the city.
