Delta Burnaby Hotel and Conference Centre opened the doors to its brand new suites in 4Q 2015 following a $2.4 million renovation. The property is part of the Gateway Casinos family of hotels and casinos.
“This suite experience is unlike any other in the city thanks to our luxurious appointments, remarkable views and modern design features,” said Amrit Sandhu, general manager, Delta Burnaby.
The suites are located at on the top (21st) floor of the hotel, and have views of the Vancouver skyline, North Shore Mountains and Mount Baker.
The renovation project was funded by the Grand Villa Casino. It took four months to complete and saw the footprints of the existing suites expanded to accommodate six larger, luxury suites. The two-bedroom suites range in size from 1,100 square feet to 1,506 square feet. The four one-bedroom suites range from 640 square feet to 760 square feet.
Amenities & Upgrades
The new suites feature a range of high-end touches, including:
♦ heated marble floors (the marble was extracted from quarries in Carrara, Italy and shipped directly to the hotel)
♦ automatic sheers and curtains
♦ rain shower and body jets in the showers
♦ oversized soaker tubs with views of the city’s skyline in the two-bedroom suites
♦ USB chargers in nightstands
♦ motion detection lighting throughout the suite
Guest staying in the suites have access to the hotel’s Signature Club lounge on the 20th floor. The lounge offers complimentary breakfast and hors d’oeuvres and beverages in the afternoon.
The Delta Burnaby adjoins the Grand Villa Casino, which has two floors of gaming and seven food and beverage outlets and live entertainment. It is close to transportation including a Car2Go station.
Burnaby is the third largest city in British Columbia. It is located in the geographic centre of Metro Vancouver, and is 98.6 square kilometers in size. It is home to the Capilano Suspension Bridge; Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden; and more.
