VANCOUVER — Culinary Capers Catering has named Stewart Boyles executive chef, it was announced Oct. 17.
Boyles has worked in kitchens for the past 21 years. After an apprenticeship at the Fairmont Waterfront, in Vancouver, Boyles traveled to gain work experience in international kitchens. He settled in Scotland, where he was chef de partie for British chef Martin Wishart at his Michelin-starred restaurant in Edinburgh, and was then invited to be chef de cuisine at Wishart’s new restaurant at Loch Lomond. With Boyles in charge of the kitchen, the new venture earned a Michelin star.
In 2012, Boyles returned to Vancouver and most recently was chef de cuisine at Hawksworth. “I am very excited to join Vancouver’s most sought after catering company, which has such a rich history in this city,” he said.
