OAK BROOK, IL — Chicagoland resort and conference centre Hilton Oak Brook Hills is adding a Corporate Adventure Campus, it was announced in early July.
Construction is underway for the experiential learning Corporate Adventure Campus located on a property featuring 150 acres of Audubon sanctuary grounds and over 40,000 square feet of newly renovated, IACC-certified conference facilities. The Adventure Campus is scheduled to open on Sept. 1, with tours beginning in August.
Hilton Oak Brook Hills has joined forces with Corporate Learning Institute (CLI) to develop the Adventure Campus with leadership training and team building capabilities.
“The unique thing about this Adventure Campus is that it will include activities never before offered in the Chicago area,” said Adventure Campus manager Dr. Susan Cain of CLI.
The Adventure Campus will provide corporate and non-profit training. Courses include three challenge areas: a low-teams challenge course where groups can work on skills like communication, problem solving and trust; a high-ropes course that will engage individuals in pushing beyond fears in a playful way; and a high element called the Pamper Pole, where managers and leaders can improve their ability to trust others and achieve mutual support.
Hilton Oak Brook Hills’ event space and estate will serve as the activity settings, while adventure facilitators will guide groups through learning sequences and assessments, from the classroom inside to the Adventure Campus outside. CLI is currently booking groups for fall.
The Corporate Learning Institute provides hands-on team-building events that build enthusiasm and collaboration; personalized training for individuals, teams and leaders; meeting facilitation, and coaching and strategy development.
Just west of downtown Chicago in the Oak Brook suburb, Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center provides more than 42,500 square feet of IACC-certified meetings and event space. Its 348 rooms and 38 suites are complemented by event space, including a tented outdoor pavilion, exercise facilities, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, dining options, and the Willow Crest Golf Club. Managed by Westmont-based Portfolio Hotels & Resorts, the property has achieved IACC Green Star Gold Tier status.
