The addition of two new ships has upped Celebrity Cruises’ Galapagos Islands cruise capacity by 65 percent.
This month, the 210-foot Xperience and 98-foot Xploration join the 296-foot Xpedition, which was inaugurated in June 2004. All three vessels are available for group buyouts.
The mid-sized Xperience accommodates 48 guests and is staffed by 35 crew members and three to four naturalists. It has 24 staterooms, all with ocean views. Room amenities include flat screen TV, safe, Thermostat-controlled air conditioning, WiFi, binoculars, premium bedding and more.
The Celebrity Xploration is a stylish catamaran with eight staterooms. Accommodating up to 16 guests, it has 12 crew members and one to two naturalists aboard. The staterooms have either an ocean-view window or veranda. Each stateroom has a flat screen TV, safe, desk, private refrigerator, WiFi, binoculars, snorkel equipment and more.
The Xpedition has a 100-guest capacity, 67 crew members and six or seven naturalists. It features a range of room options including: 460-square-foot Penthouse Suite; 250-square-foot Royal Suite; 205-square-foot Xpedition Suites; 175-square-foot Junior Suite; and premium, deluxe and outside staterooms. All of the suites have a private veranda. Stateroom and suite amenities include flat screen TV, safe, desk, refrigerator, WiFi, binoculars, MP3 docking station and more.
With the addition of the Xperience and Xploration, Celebrity now offers 22 all-inclusive packages, six cruise itineraries, 15 islands and 35 ports of call. The all-inclusive packages run from seven nights to 16 nights.
The Galapagos Islands are located in the Pacific Ocean some 1,000 kilometers off the coast of Ecuador. Home to a unique range of wildlife (giant tortoise, iguanas, and more), the 19 islands are protected by the UNESCO World Heritage Convention.
